Nicholas Sparks Inspired Engagement Shoot

Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina | Hannah + Thomas

Hannah and Thomas were so fun to work with on this steamy summer afternoon! We scheduled this shoot very last minute but I honestly think those turn out the best sometimes! I met with them first at their home where I got to know them and their pup a bit before heading off to shoot together. They have a pup named Henry who is such a cutie, and are getting married in May of 2022 in Wilmington! It was pretty overcast most of the shoot, but when we got down to the south end of Wrightsville Beach, the sun decided to show off a bit. These photos capture some Wrightsville Beach love perfectly! These photos remind me so much of a Nicholas Sparks movie, or book if thats more you! After-all, a lot of Nicholas Sparks movies were filmed in this area! Not to mention, Hannah’s ring was absolutely gorgeous! It is so simple and classy, yet such a statement and so sparkly! I loved it so much and it was so pretty to photograph!

Congrats to Thomas and Hannah!

Hannah went with this beautiful white, flowy dress. It was so gorgeous on her and matched the vibe of the beach shoot so well. The dress reminded me of an intricate, vintage table runner in the best way possible. It was so lovely! A timeless piece that she could have forever!

I always have my couples splash around in the ocean when the water here on the East Coast is warm enough! It makes for such fun and expressive images! Plus, its a great way to keep the couple loose and interact naturally with each other for perfect in the moment images!

Hannah and Thomas had taken some photos in this spot on the South End of Wrightsville Beach in the past, so they asked to capture some images of them together in the same spot! This is also another thing that I love doing with couples. It shows a transformation of time and brings back such a nostalgic feeling.
